NAR Settlement & Buyer Broker Agreements

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) lawsuit settlement will result in a significant change to REALTORS' way of doing business, particularly with respect to buyer representation. Starting August 17, 2024, all REALTORS will be required to have a written agreement with their buyers. These agreements must contain certain verbiage in order to be compliant with the NAR settlement. Florida Realtors has recently released some proposed buyer representation forms, as well as some compensation agreements.
