*This class fulfills the 3 Hour CORE LAW requirement* This is the purpose of Core Law –to update you on the current laws and rules and to enlighten any real estate licensee on the areas where the most infractions are being reviewed by the DBPR and the FREC. This course will provide a review of some of the aspects of pre-licensing which may have been forgotten and provide information on the newer laws and rules in real estate - but more so, give you, the student, insight as to the current areas being disciplined by the Florida Real Estate Commission during the past two years. Objectives: After taking this class students will be able to: 1. Describe the minimum Continuing Education courses for license renewal 2. Outline the Florida Real Estate Commission’s Powers and Duties and steps in a potential FREC violation investigation to a final order 3. Identify the importance of Timely Completing A FREC Final order 4. Explain the various rules and Laws which may result in a FREC investigation and appearance in front of the FREC 5. Discuss the two types of license Revocation 6. Classify the difference between Florida Laws, Rules, and Declaratory Statements for enforcement of FREC policies 7. Recall how the Real Estate Recovery Fund is funded 8. Distinguish other Florida State Laws that would affect a real estate licensee which are not enforced by the FREC 9. Summarize other Federal Laws which could cause serious fines or investigation of a sales associate/team/brokerage Instructor: Caroline Boland
